POINTS FROM OTHER LETTERS
On “Prams on Trams,” "Progress” suggests the provision on trams of a retractable ramp ,o allow prams to be wheeled into the trams. “If this is not practicable with the present trams, then surely a Government subsidy is feasible after the war to provide trams which can take the prams without all this fuss.”
Replying to “Less Coddling,” on the same subject, “Grandmother and a Cyclist” writes: "Is ‘Less Coddling' privileged to use the trams while modern mothers walk? Is walking not good for ‘Less Coddling,’ too? ‘Less Coddling' should not be so selfish, but get along and do one of these mothers a good scout deed so she will not have to take her pram on the tram.”
