“DON’T TALK” CAMPAIGN
PARADE OF TRUCKS IN AUCKLAND
(P.A.) AUCKLAND. November 3. Five decorated Army trucks passing through the city at the lunch hour today gave Auckland an introduction to the “Don’t Talk” campaign, launched last night by the Minister for Defence. Members of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary manned the vehicles, which supported posters pointing out the danger of careless talk in such terms as: “Be Like Dad—Keep mum,” and "Keep It Under Your Hat.” The latter was illustrated with a huge top hat. From these and other posters the lunch-hour crowd derived considerable amusement. Posters were distributed throughout the city to-day by uniformed members of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary.
