MR NASH’S TALKS IN SYDNEY

♦ SUGAR SUPPLIES TO N.Z. DISCUSSED (Received November 3, 10.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 3. After discussions on Pacific air transport, the New Zealand Minister for Finance (Mr Walter Nash) to-day had conversations with Mr W. Forgan Smith, Premier of Queensland, and the Federal Minister for Commerce (Mr ■W. J. Scully) about the supply and shipping of sugar to New Zealand. He also discussed with Mr Scully arrangements for the supply of meat to the United Kingdom. Later Mr Nash saw Mr W. J. McKell, Premier of New South Wales, and Sir Ernest Fisk, managing director of Amalgamated Wireless, Ltd. He also saw Sir Thomas Gordon, Controller of War Transport for the United Kingdom. To-night, Mr Nash left for Newcastle, where he will inspect the Broken Hill Proprietary plant. He returns to Sydney on Wednesday.
