INSTRUCTORS IN CAMPS
SUGGESTION THAT MEN BE BROUGHT BACK
(PJI) WELLINGTON. August 21. “As the appointment of an overseas brigadier as chief of staff hag proved a popular appointment, will the Minister consider bringing back a number of officers and n.c.0.’8, preferably from those who went away first, to act as instructors in the mobilisation and territorial camps?” the Minister for Defence (the Horn F. Jones) was asked in the House to-day by Mr J. A. Roy (Opposition, Clutha). Mr Roy said that many pi the present instructors were anxious to proceed overseas, and instructors whp had practical experience in modem warfare would b e of valuable assistance in training.
