Appeals by farmers and farm workers were amon ß the cases dealt with by the Armed Forces Appeal Board yesterday. A number of appeals on behalf of Anglican and Roman Catholic clergy were adjourned sine die on the ground of the public interest. Mr F. F. Reid, S.M.„ presided; and with him were Mr G. M. UNIVERSITY STUDENT’S APPEAL

(An appeal by Keith Raymond Newson, a student of Canterbury Univers-ity-College, which was heard by the Armed Forces Appeal Bonrd on August 19, was adjourned sine die on the ground of the appellant’s medical grading. The ground for the appeal, as set down at the hearing was undue hardship, but the appellant has written to "The Press” stating that all he sought was a postponement of service until after the university examinations in November. This was not indicated at the hearing.
