Senior (7) 2 down, C. H. Elsom (4) 2 down. WAITIKIRI CLUB A president’s v. captain’s teams match played at Waitikiri Golf Club on Saturday was won by the president's-- team, 12-3. Results of a four-ball bogey (mixed) played yesterday were: A. E. Calvert and Mr* K. G. Archer, 2 up; D. E. Climie .and Miss E. Edmonds, 1 up; A. A. Grimmer and Miss P. Clowes, 3 down,. HAGLEY CLUB Best cards in the Lewis Cleek mixed four-ball competition, at Hagley, were: A. Fyfe and Miss Saunders, 1 down; P. C. Browne and Mrs A. C. Brasslngton, 3 down; R. S, Kent and Mrs Pfankuch, 4 down. AVONDALE LADIES’ CLUB In the second, round of the'Avondale Ladies' Golf Club’s championship, Mrs A. L. Large beat MissT. A. Maindonald, 6 up and 4 to play; Miss A. Knight, beat Miss P. Ellwood, 7 and 5; Mrs J. M. Preston beat Mrs L. S. Smith, 6 and 5; Miss N. Gillespie beat Mrs H. Sparrow, 2 up. In the semi-final, Miss Knight beat Mrs Large, 4 and 2; Mrs Preston beat Miss Gillespie, 4 and 2. In the second round of the junior championship, Miss K. Clements beat Mrs G. B. Lav/, 3 and 2; Mrs J. McNish beat Mrs D, P. Brennan, 1 up: Miss M. Donaldson beat Mrs A. T. Dunn, 3 and 2; Mrs H. M. Mlnson beat Mrs J. Pierce, 7 and 5. In the semi-final. Miss Clements beat Mrs McNish, 4 and 3; Mrs Minson beat Miss Donaldson, 4 and 3. TEMPLETON LADIES’ CLUB Results of a one-club match for Miss A. Scott’s trophy, played by the Templeton Ladies’ Club, were: Mrs R. Voss. 116, 34—82; Mrs R. Grimmer, 117, 34—83; Miss E. M. Leonard, 114, 31-xB3. RANGIORA LADIES’ CLUB Members of the Ranglora Ladies’ Golf Club played the June L.G.U. and club medal rounds on Saturday. Best cards were;— Mrs E. Ryde, 111, 31—80; Miss J. Macdonald, 107, 25—82. The bisque bogey match played on Thursday resulted:—Mrs A. Ryde, 1 up; Mrs' E. Ryde, 2 up; Mrs H. Thompson, all square. RANGIORA CLUB A combined Stableford match was played by members of the Ranglora Golf Club on Saturday. Best cards were:—R. Ballinger and C. Whatman, 63 points; W. C. Keetley and A. A. Ryde, 59 points. RAWHITI CLUB The first qualifying round of the championship was played over the week-end. Following are the best scores:— A Grade—A. Aldersley 78, 12—66; A. H. De Joux 85, 15—70; L. E, Wood, with a score of 33 points. Other cards were: Miss Boundy 30 and Mrs S. J. Russell 29. WAIMAIRI BEACH CLUB In the second round of the Waimairl Cup, played over “the week-end, the following qualified:—W. H. King 70, 74 144; H.. McNeil 73, 74—147; E. Thomson 76, 73—149; J. Greenslade 74. 78—152; H. McGavock 72, 81—153; J. W. Prew 73, 80— 153; J. Brown 77. 78—155; T. de la Mare and W. Walker tied for eighth place. A stroke handicap, played in conjunction, was won by E. Thomson 87, 14—73. RUSSLEY CLUB A mixed Canadian foursome stroke handicap was played at Russley on Saturday. Best scores were:—G. M. Hall and Mrs Delahunty, 88, 14—74; V. Sheehy and Mrs Sheehy, 94. 20—74; A. E. Ackroyd and Miss Morton, 90, 15—75. For men not taking part in the mixed competition, a Stableford single was played with the following results:—G.
