Export Licences Refused.—The British Government has refused export licences for wool hand knitting and manufacturing yarns intended for New Zealand, and the Customs Department is consenting to the transfer of import licences from the United Kingdom to Australia. About half the hand knitting yarns used in the Dominion have been imported from Britain, the rest coming from New Zealand mills.
