General Freyberg Congratulated.— A cablegram of congratulation has been sent to Major-General B. C. Freyberg, V.C.,. by the New Zealand R.S.A. as follows: “Old congratulate you on your new command and all new Anzacs and British and Greek comrades on their magnificent fighting effort.”—Press Association. ■ • Soldier -Stretcher Cases.—Five soldiers, stretcher cases, who have been in the Wellington Hospital for observation since the arrival of their hospital ship, reached Auckland in a special coach attached to the express from Wellington yesterday morning. They were met by military officials and relatives and driven by ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. All are progressing welL—Press Association.
