OLD GIRLS’ REUNION
WELL ATTENDED GATHERING
At the' invitation of the Reverend Mother and Sisters of the Sacred Heart College, Ferry road, a large number of old girls of the school and their friends attended a reunion held at Lie Convent yesterday afternoon. Miss Kathleen O’Connor was in charge of the programme, given in the assembly hall, as’ fol.ows:—Pianoforte duet, Mrs Colin Lamb and Miss Merle Cunningham: recitations, Miss Mary Hopewell; songs, Miss Helene McDonald, Miss Annas Gale. Miss Olga Wacked and Miss Charters. An interesting address on "Catholic Women’s War Effort” was given by Miss A. Buckley, president of the Catholic League, after which Miss Kassie Turner thanked the nuns for their devotion to their pupils and the Rev. Father J. Maguire expressed appreciation of the large attendance. Tea was served on the lawn. The guests then attended Benediction in the Convent Chapel, where Bishop Brodie officiated.
