"THE LIGHT OF HEART "
NEW REPERTORY PLAY • A play which is causing enthusiasm in London audiences at present is Emlyn Williams's new comedy-drama, “The Light of Heart.” This week Christchurch audiences will have an opportunity of seeing this much-discussed play, which has been produced by the Repertory Society and will have a season of four evening performances at the Radiant Hall, commencing on Wednesday. The play is written about “the theatre," and gives an intimate picture of The private life of a fallen “star” and of his struggles to regain his former position. An unusual theme, vivid contrasts of drama and comedy, and the colourful, clear-cut characterisations in this play combine to provide entertainment of exceptional quality. The repertory cast comprises talented players new to Christchurch audiences. Box plans are at the D.I.C.
