MINE IDLE AT REWANUI
The Liverpool State Mine at Rewanui was idle yesterday because of transport difficulties. The mine has sufficient orders, and vessels are awaiting coal at Greymouth, but rain on Thursday delayed, operations on the wharf, and consequently trucks were not released for return to the mine, where the bins are full. A slight shortage of waggons for overland orders is also being experienced. It is expected that the mine will be able to resume work on Monday.
