LIAISON OFFICER AT AIR MINISTRY
APPOINTMENT OF ASSISTANT ANNOUNCED [From Our .Parliamentary Reporter.] WELLINGTON. August 22. The attachment of Flying Officer A. B. Lindop to assist the New Zealand liaison officer at the Air Ministry, London, has been approved by the Cabinet, according to a statement made to-day by the Minister for Defence (the Hon. F. .Jones). The Minister said that Flying Officer Lindop would occupy the post for 12 months, after which he would attend courses of instruction in equipment and accounting duties in the United Kingdom. Flying Officer Lindop will leave for England by the Rangitata from Auckland. The Minister also announced that Mr F. C. Carpenter, who had' been on exchange to New Zealand in place of the Chief . Inspector of Aircraft. Mr R; C. Kean, would leave to-night for Auckland on his retyrn to the United Kingdom. Mr Carpenter has been in New Zealand for a year attached to the civil aviation branch of the Air Department. Mr Kean will return to New Zealand about the end of November. .
