METHODIST CONVENTION AT NEW BRIGHTON

A two-day convention was opened at the New Brighton Methodist Church, with the Rev. AUon Carr presiding. The Rev. H. Kings gave an address on . “The Humanity of Christ.” Members and friends later met at a tea, which was followed by a service in the church. An address was given by the Rev. G. R. Harris on "The Kingship of Christ." A membership service was held, the subject being “Our Belief in the Church.” The South Brighton Sunday School combined with the central Sunday school at a meeting in the church, at which parents also attended. Doreen Thompson sang “Old Rugged Cross” and Mr Carr gave a talk. The final service was held when Mr Carr took as his subject, “Christ Our Saviour.” Mr IT. Mead sang a solo and a- religious film, “A Woman’s Faith,” was shown.
