THIRD ANNUAL BALL
NEW BRIGHTON . BUSINESS , ASSOCIATION The social hall of the New Brighton Returned Soldiers’ Association was effectively decorated for- the third annual ball held the New Brighton Business Association. There was a large attendance, the business section of *• the community being Yell . represented. v . ; The old-time dahce music played by Mr Alex Campbells Gaiety Orchestra was greatly appreciated, and Mr D. A. Clarke was master of ceremonies. The committee, in charge of arrangements included Mesdames W. S. Brown (convener); C. K. Ingold, D. A. Clarke. F, Cullimore, R. J. Arnould, C. McLeod, and ,H, A, Bishop. An operatic dance was given by Miss D. Owens, and a novelty dance was’won by 'Mr R. Brading and Miss Marie Cramp.- * ... The president, (Mr C., K,, Ingold) welcomed the Mayor and Mayoress (Mr and Mrs E: L. BASKETBALL CLUB DANCE
A successful dance organised by the. Little River Basketball Club was .held In the Town Hall. Music was played by Reynish’s orchestra, and extras by Miss Vera Reynlsh and Mr B, Stuart. R Barclay and L. Humphries were, masters of ceremonies. Novelty dances were won by Miss Ida Archer and Mr W. Chappie, Miss A. Reynlsh K. Stewart, Miss. C. Dunn and Mr D. Hunt.
