CANTERBURY AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS

From the winners of the Canterbury titles which will be decided at the Radiant Hall this evening, a team will be chosen to represent the province at the national amateur championships, to be held early next month at Invercargill. With this special incentive the contests this evening should. therefore, be of a fast and brilliant nature. Good entries have been received for every division, including some from Greymouth, Westport, Ashburton, and Lyttelton. All the local schools will be well represented. Doors will open at 7) p.m., and the 'first boUt will commence at 7.30 p.m. sharp.
