When Miles Mander, the British actor, went on the set of . “Stanley and Livingstone” at 20th Century-Fox to preside as chairman of the Society of British Geographers, he was better trained for the role than studio producers knew. In his youth, Mander was a traveller and explorer, and as a result of his study of Albania 20 years ago, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society, where he has often presided as chairman of discussion groups.
