MASTER PRINTERS IN CONFERENCE
ELECTION OF : OFFICERS (PEESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, March 16. The thirty-second annual general conference of the Federation of Master Printers of New Zealand, which began on Wednesday, concluded in Wellington to-day. The president, Mr H. Harris (Dunedin), in his annual address, said that generally speaking the last year in the commercial printing industry had shown an advancement. He dealt with the import control regulations and said that the industry would do its share in equipping itself to cater for increased demands of the manufacturers of the Dominic. A number of remits concerned with the internal interests of the industry was dealt with.
Officers elected for the next two years are:—President, Mr B. C. Jacobs (Auckland); vice-president, Mr E. Darroch (Timaru), with Mr H; Harris (Dunedin) immediate past-president; councillors, Messrs E. Aldridge, W. A. Bascand, H. Coull, A. Dennison, H. W. Osborn, T. O. Somerville, B. E. H. Whitcombe, and C. H. Whitcombe. _ It was a recommendation to the incoming council that the annual conference in 1940 be held in Christchurch.
