The future home of tie institute will be a two-storeyed ferro-con* crete building on the lack of the section joining the sqiish rackety court of the Christchurd Club. The land was formerly ccupied by Satterthwaite and Company, and the building occupied iy them has been demolished. Mesrs J. Hama mett and Sons are th contractors for the new building, and they are making the necessar; excavations for the foundations. £he time fixed in the contract for he completion of the building is for months. The laboratory andbakery will b« located on the grouri floor and that first floor will be usd for adminis® tration purposes.
