GOVERNMENT ACTION SUGGESTED FIXED PRICE TO FARMER AND CONSUMER The need for some sort of fixation of prices both to the farmer and the consumer was emphasised by members of the Woodend-Waikukii branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, when a discussion arose on the Christchurch city njilk supply at the annual meeting of the branch on Wednesday evening at Woodend. The president (Mr J. R. Keeper) presided. Although no motion was put forward on the question, members of the branch were unanimous that action by the Government in fixing prices both to farmers and consumers was to be desired. _
