, ——♦ NEW BRIGHTON RETURNED SOLDIERS A pleasant time was spent at the home of Mr and Mrs H. Jack, Palmer’s road, North Beach, when Mrs Jack, president of the Women's Auxiliary of the New Brighton Returned Soldiers’ Association, entertained a number of guests at a social in aid of the Returned Soldiers’ Association picnic fund. The winners of card games and competitions were Mesdames Ebert, Harris, Ormandy, Jones, Herrick, and Beardsley. * Those present included Mesdames H. Jack, A. E. Nesbitt, Newman, King. F. Rouse. R. Fitzgerald. Ebert, Teague, Beardsley, Pascoe, Harris, F. Ormandy, Powell, Martin, Jones, R. Motts, Misses B. Jack, Harris, and N. Jack.
