HARVEST SERVICE AT NEW BRIGHTON

* There were good attendances at the harvest thanksgiving services of the New Brighton Methodist Church. A good display of flowers, fruit and vegetables was made. The morning service was conducted by Mr W. C. Francis, and in the evening the B.ev. F. Gardner Brown was the preacher. The choir under Mr W. Taylor, with Mr E. Kitchingham as violinist, sang special anthems. The soloists were Mr E. A. Bendall, Miss L. Sincock, and Mr and Mrs McLean. The celebrations were continued with a sale of the offerings in the schoolroom, after which a talking picture programme was given.
