NOW EQUAL TO DEMAND
' ■ ■ SUPPLY OF TIMBER WAGGON® . AT GREYMOUTH (From Gur Own Reporter.) GREYMOUTH. March 9- . Since the beginning of this week the supply of timber waggons at Greymouth has been edual to the demand, according to a statement made to-day by the Stationmaster' (Mr Lt L. Marshall) in explanation of a report which appeared in “The Press” this morning that .there was a shortage of such wag- f gons at Greymouth. “Certainly,” Mr Marshall'said, “there was tightening in the available supply of this class of waggon, for loading ■ timber, at the end of last week. This was because the vessel Matthew Flinders, from Australia,, was discharging about 350 tons of very bulky find heavy dredging machinery into timber . waggons. This temporarily reduced the number of waggons ordinarily 'avfiilable for loading timber.”
