HUNGARIAN-CZECH AGREEMENT

AMNESTIES GRANTED IN ‘ BOTH COUNTRIES (Received January 3, 7.5 p.m.) PRAGUE, January 2. In accordance with the CzechHungarian agreement an amnesty has been granted to all Hungarian subjects arrested for political crimes, including even armed attacks against the enforcement of Czech laws. The pardons are not extended to members of movements aiming to overthrow the social order, but they include hundreds of members of terrorist organisations, many of whom are Hungarian regular soldiers captured in the recent disturbances. ■ Hungary is granting an amnesty to Czechs, but fewer are involved. Hungary has sent a Note to Prague seriously objecting to continued hostile propaganda from Slovak radio stations.
