RETAIL TRADE DECLINE IN BRITAIN
(BBITIBB OtnCliL W1»«L«39.) RUGBY, December 30. The money value of retail trade sales reported for November showed the first decrease recorded for the whole of the trade since September, 1933. The decrease amounted to 1.3 per cent., compared With November, 1937, and the decline Was general Except in Scotland. Employment in retail trade was 0.4 per cent, greater than a year ago.
