The Lithuanian Government ha* ordered the withdrawal of ■ the Lithuanian State police from Memel, where the local authorities in lutur* have first preference for employment in the post office, railways, and customs. Those who were from these services must be reinstated.
The instructions are regarded as an important further concession to German demands for autonomy for Memel.
