NEW ZEALAND MOTORISTS’ CONFERENCE
Approval of a suggestion from the North Island Motor Union that conferences be arranged between the unions of both islands was expressed at a meeting of the excutive of the South Island Motor Union last evening. It was suggested that the conference be known as the New Zealand motorists’ conference. The chairman (Mr W. R. Carey) said that the proposal, which revived a similar conference last held in 1923, was a very good one if it provided the machinery for voicing ihe opinions of motorists throughout New Zealand in the event of their interests being jeopardised.
