BOROUGH ELECTION AT SUMNER
RESIDENTS APPROVE
NOMINATIONS
MR WIDDOWSON WILL NOT CONTEST MAYORALTY .
A representative meeting of dents of Sumner was held last evening to consider. candidatures for ft* approaching borough elections. The present councillors who are seeking re-election. Messrs G. T~ Allen, E. T. Chitty, C. E. Claydon, and F. T. Eldridge, were approved. Approval was also given to the nominations of Messrs F. W. J. Murdoch, G. Hunt, J. B. Trudgeon, and P. B. Stevens, and Dr. P. C. Fenwick. Mr H. Y. Widdowson, who has been approached to stand lor the Mayoralty, said that he would , not ha a candidate.
