PLANS WILL NOT BE REVEALED

MR FURNISS ADDRESSES TEMUKA FARMERS

Mr J. H. Furniss spoke on the compensating prices plan to a meeting of farmers at Temuka on Monday evening and covered much the same ground as in his address at Duvauchelle. After insisting on the need for a compensating price, Mr Furniss said that the organisers of the campaign were not prepared to reveal their plans to those who might be opposing them. They were prepared to meet a select committee of statisticians or other persons whom the Government might appoint to test the proposals, which they did not intend to disclose publicly.
