WEST COAST t * The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:- - Moderate but increasing northpr! v winds. Weather fair to cloudy and warm, but scattered rams developing shortly, especially in the 'onthem area. Seas slight lo moderate. but later rising. DOMINION The Dominion forecast is:— Weather mainly fair to fine and warm, but some morning fogs and a few isolated showers probable later some scattered rain developing in South Westland and the far south. An anti-cyclone still covers New Zealand, its centre being located to the east. Pressure is low to the north and a deep depression is situated over Eastern Australia and the western Tasman. Winds —North-easterly to northerly, moderate to strong in the far north; elsewhere light to moderate, but gradually freshening, and later becoming strong about and south of Cook Strait. Seas (New Zealand waters) —Rather rough on the cast coast of the Auckland peninsula: elsewhere slight to moderate, but later rising in the Cook and Foveaux Straits areas. Eastern Tasman Sea—North-east winds in the northern portion and northerly in the southern; force moderate to strong and increasing, with moderate but -rising seas. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather in Christchurch yesterday was dull for the most part, but the sun shone later in the afternoon. A moderate north-easterly wind was blowing. The maximum temperature was 65.2 degrees. At 1 o’clock this morning the sky was cloudy and an easterly wind was blowing.
