"VTOTICE is hereby given that the - L ~ Waimakariri-Ashley Water Supply Board proposes at its meeting, to be held on the 29th day of November, 1937 (Monday), to consider a motion to apply to the Local Governments Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of £IBOO (without taking a poll of ratepayers), for the purpose of constructing a concrete syphon to carry the main waterrace under the Eyre river at Oxford, replacing the existing wooden flume. The proposed Loan is to be secured by a Special Rate of l-44ths of a penny in the pound, which will be sufficient to provide interest and sinking fund for repaying the loan. The charges will be made on a uniform scale on the capital value of all rateable property within the Waimakariri-Ashley Water Supply District. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Waimakariri*Ashley Water Supply Board not later than the day preceding the said meeting.
