♦ STEDMAN TO TOUR DOMINION ITINERARY ANNOUNCED (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGEA3I.) WELLINGTON, November 12. A. C. Stedman, who has been in England for the last few years, will arrive at Wellington on December 4. The New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association management committee has drawn up an itinerary for a New Zealand tour for him and D. C. Coombe and possibly other leading players who may be available to play exhibition matches. Matches will be played as follows; — December 18; Whangarei. December 27: Hamilton. January 1; Christchurch. January 3: Dunedin. January 5: Invercargill. January 8: Timaru. January 15: Wellington. January 19: Palmerston North. January 22: Wanganui. January 26: Napier. January 31 to February 5: New Zealand championships at Auckland. In addition, Stedman will be asked to play two exhibition matches in Auckland sub-districts to be nominated by the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association. If it can be arranged he will also be asked, to give a demonstration to juniors attending the junior championships at Christchurch. The terms of the exhibition matches are that the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association will pay the travelling expenses of Stedman and another player, plus 10s a day allowance to each player while away from home. The local associations are to billet the visiting players and to pay the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association onethird of the gross receipts, less tax. All expenses other than travelling expenses and allowances are to be a charge against the local association. RACQUET LOSES GAME Faulty Racquets are the primary cause of lost games.
