MAIN ITHE PRESS Special Servlce.l OAMARU, November It The death occurred on Friday mora. ing, after a long illness, of Mr Jamel Scott Main, the curator of the Government fish hatcheries at Hakatan* mea. Mr Main was a popular and wfr known figure in angling circles, m was one of the leading authorities oa fish life and culture in the Dominion. His talks to anglers on this subject were always very interesting. He was always a very welcome guest at the annual functions of the waitaki Acclimatisation Society and the North Otago Angling Club. Before going to Hakataramea, Mr Main was the ranger for the South Canterbury Acclimatisation Society and curator of the trout hatcheries at Temuka, which were established there during his term with that soCl hTs life was devoted entirely to tht study of trout and salmon.
