CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCED BY BISHOP OF LONDON

LONDON, November 3. From the pulpit of the fashionable St. James’s Church, Piccadilly, the Bishop of London (Dr. Minningion Ingram), at a service convened by the Public Morality League, announced a campaign to clean up the London stage. “The other day,” he said, *T was called in by the Lord Chamberlain, who said he was going to call together every person responsible for the London theatres and tell them that this nudity on the London stage has got to stop. “I have reason to believe that hot all realise they permit it at their peril.” Nakedness was dishonourable to thn girls, he added, and extremely bad for the decadent young men who found pleasure in it.
