CONVICTION OF 21 “JAY-WALKERS”

(PEESS ASSOCIATION TEX.EGEAM.) WELLINGTON, November 4.' For failing to cross the roadway at right angles to the kerb, 21 “jay-walk-

ers” were to-day convicted in the Magistrate’s Court and ordered to pay costs. Mr W. H. Luxford, S.M., said it had been his task to deal with a number of Wellington citizens previously for the offence, but because of the newness of the regulations no penalty was inflicted.
