FEARS FOR SAFETY OF ENDEAVOUR I

ADDITIONAL CUTTERS TO JOIN IN SEARCH (Received September 17, 11.55 p.m.) BOSTON, September 16. Apprehension about the fate of the yacht Endeavour I has prompted the assignment of two additional cutters to search. It was reported that the Endeavour I broke away while being towed across the Atlantic during a gale which reached a force of 105 miles an hour. The opinion is expressed that the weight of the nine-inch hawser might have forced the Endeavour Fs nose under the water.
