September 17. According to Mr P. W'. Day, manager of the Springboks, there is no uncertainty as to the outcome of the third test at Auckland. Interviewed last evening, ho said (hat the loss of the first test was attributable to the failure of the team to back up the man with the ball. It was a sheer lapse of form which gave no real indication of the merit of the South African team. The second game at Christchurch brought out the real form of the tourists. and the same qualities would assure the team of winning the rubber, ACCOMMODATION FOR THIRD TEST AUCKLAND, September 17. The bureau opened by the Tourist Department to assist in solving the accommodation problem for the third Rugby test on September 25 is having a busy time. More than 100 offers were made to-day by citizens to co-operate by taking private guests for this special occasion. REPRESENTATIVE MATCH TO-DAY WEST COAST AND CANTERBURY The representative game between Canterbury and the West Coast at Lancaster Park to-day will bo of great interest to Rugby followers.
