CHURCH CONCERT HELD AT TAI TAPU
A concert in aid of the funds of the Tai Tapu Methodist Church was given in the Tai Tapu Hall by Mr Melville Lawry and party, from Christchurch, on Thursday night. It was attended by a large and appreciative audience. The Rev. M. Ayrton was chairman. The programme was as follows: —Partsong in costume, the ladies; violin solo, Mr Hutchens; contralto solo. Miss Ruth Royds; novelty item. Mr Coates: partsong, the ladies; recitation, Mr H. Instone; tenor solos, Mr T. West; baritone solo, Mr W. Crewes; pianist, Mr Melville Lawry. Mr W. Barnett, circuit steward, moved a vote of thanks to the performers, which was carried by acclamation. ____^_____
