SEVERAL WARNINGS NOT HEEDED ITHE PRESS Special Service.] AUCKLAND, September 17. "This case is the result of defendant's failure to heed warnings to stop smoking during a wrestling bout in the Town Hall on a recent Saturday.** said Sub-Inspector Fox in the Magistrate's Court, when Kenneth Malcolm McDonald was charged with the offence. He pleaded not guilty. Evidence was given that defendant -was warned three times by a fireman and twice by a constable to stop smoking inside the hall. When spoken to the third time by the constable the defendant became abusive, it was stated, and gave an incorrect name. Mr W. Orr Walker, S.M.. imposed a fine of 10s and ordered the payment of costs, £2 9s.
