ERNEST WRITES A POEM
Ernest wrote that poem printed on this page. Ernest isn’t very good at poetry, but he was so proud of this poem that Lady Gay said he could have it in “The Gay Gazette” What he writes is true, though. Read the poem now! You’ve read it? Well, after two weeks we’re all starting work with a long pull and a strong pull, and a pull altogether. This is just a little break before the really truly Christmas effort begins. October 1 means Christmas stocking season begins. We’ve hundreds of Christmas stockings to make; we’ve the thought of our Christmas puddings before us; we have to think of our Waltham orphanage party. In fact, we are going to be very busy indeed. Some of our clubs are planning a “Press Ship” fair; we’ll have to set to work on that immediately; then there are club concerts and fetes, and dozens of other festivities. Oh, we mean to be so busy that we won’t have time to pause again before Christmas. j i . Just read Ernest’s poem once more, will you? He is so proud of tt. LADY GAY.
