BAG-SNATCHING AT DUNEDIN
▼ ELDEULY WOMAN ROBBED [THE PRESS Special Service.] DUNEDIN, September 17. An instance of bag-snatching, the first to be recorded in Dunedin for a considerable time, occurred in one of the suburbs to-night, the victim being an elderly woman who was returning from shopping. While she was walking along Moana crescent, Musselburgh. about 6.30, a young man dressed in a dark suit suddenly sprang at her. and snatching her bag from her hand, made off down the road. There was no one in the street at the time to whom the woman could call for assistance. The stolen bag contained about £1 18s 6d in cash, as well as a Savings Bank book.
