A suggestion that he should be allowed to sot the old Geraldine Courthouse on tire was made in the House of Representatives to-day by Mr T. D. Burnett (National, Temuka) in giving notice of a question addressed to the Minister for Justice (the Hon. H. G. R. Mason), but the Speaker (the Hon. W. E. Barnard) refused to allow the question. Mr Burnett asked that, considering the deplorable wormeaten condition of the courthouse permission be given to the member for the district to demolish it by fire and "so remove a disgraceful eyesore from the town of Geraldine."
