TRAVEL FILM OF CITY
CYCLISTS REQUIRED ON SATURDAY Mr Lee Hill, who is in Christchurch filming a travel-talk, "Around the Cathedral City," for release by British Empire Films, Ltd., will take a bicycle sequence next Saturday. He has arranged with the Marcus Show for the girls and the principals to assemble in Oxford terrace between Manchester and Colombo streets at noon. They will all be on bicycles, and some of the comedians will ride old-fashionrd machines. Everyone owning a bicycle is invited to take part, and arrangements have been made with the traffic department of the City Council to marshal the traffic so that a jam will be avoided. The procession of cyclists will go through the city, accompanied by camera on a truck. Other cameras will be placed at suitable vantage points. Mr Hill wishes to secure Maoris for the scenes, and request? those who can attend to do so. The film will be screened overseas, and will afford good publicity for the city. To-morrow morning Hal Boyd and his Jigsaws will perform a clowning act on the Avon, and the films taken will Dresent the river from an unusual angle.
