ALBERTA TO DEFAULT AGAIN
BANK OF CANADA REFUSES LOAN TO PROVINCE (Received June 1, 5.5 p.m.) EDMONTON, May 31. Alberta is defaulting in 1,650,000 dollars' bond maturity, according to the Treasurer (Mr Solon Low). This is the third major default in three months. The Bank of Canada has refused a loan.
