DECISION OF WELLINGTON HOSPITAL BOARD
(FSESS AB3OCIATJOK TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON. March 24. Increases ranging from £5 to £25 a year in the salaries of staff nurses and sisters at the Wellington Public Hospital were granted by the board. Some members favoured a higher scale of increases, but it was stated by the chairman (Mr J. Glover) that increases must be gradual. The opinion was expressed that nurses were well cared for, as they received tuition, board, and other benefits in addition to their salary.
