"DEATH BATH" PLANNED

ITALIAN PATRIOT'S INTENTION

(Received March 5, 1 a.m.)

LONDON, March 4.

The correspondent of the British United Press Association at Gardone savs that D'Annunzio, the Italian writer and. nationalist, is planning his death by dissolving his body in a bath, containing a powerful chemical compound invented by himself. According to a close friend he proposes to take this "death bath" when he feels natural death approaching. This, according to the friend, is the real meaning of D'Annunzio's recent message to Signor Achille Starace, in which he said: "I am an old, sick man, so I am going to hasten my end." D'Annunzio will be 74 on March 12.
