A SUCCESSFUL MEETING
(URF.SS ASSOCIATION TELfiGHAH.) dISBORNE, Febriiai'y 13. The most successful race meeting in Poverty Bay for many years Was held to-day, when the Turf Club concluded its summer fixture. The weather was. fine until the last race, when a shower of rain fell. The going was good; and the totalisatbr investments for the day more than doubled the amount on the corresponding day last year, £8728 10s. against £4326 10s. an increase of £4402. The total for the meeting was £14,113. against £7121 last vear, an increase ot £.bWt: After ah enquiry by the stewards. J Walsh, rider" of Tycoon, was suspended for one month for interference to Blygain in the Harbour Hack Handicap on the first day.
