EARTHQUAKE IN JAPAN
a ONE KILLED AND MANY HOUSES DAMAGED TOKYO, December 27. An earthquake shook the island of Nijim i. One was killed, two are missing, and 10 were injured. Five hundred houses were damaged. Experts here state that the shock was one of the strongest ever recorded in Japan. If it had been centred on the mainland the damage would have been immense.
