A sequel to the tragedy on the pr«. mises of the Bank of New Zealani early on Sunday morning, when i youth. Michael Fletcher, was fatally shot, was heard in the Magistrate"* Court before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M, when Oswald Cameron Cowie. a bank clerk, was charged that on December 27 he did kill Michael Fletcher. Inspector Gibson asked for a re. mand to January 11. to which counsel for Cowie (Mr Eustace Russell) agreed. Mr Russell asked for baii which was fixed at £IOO, with a surety of the same amount. Three youths, William Martin Robertson, Tangi Kitson, and William Thomas McQuarrie, later appea/ed before the magistrate, jointly charged with being found on the bank's premises without lawful excuse in cit. cumstances which did not disclose ths commission of or intent to commit t crime. On the request of the police, a remand was granted until January 11, bail being allowed each at £lO and I surety of a similar amount REVOLVER FOUND IX TREI BESIDE BUILDING (PKISS ASSOCIATION TILIGF-AH.) INVERCARGILL, December 23. An additional detail of the tragedy is the finding of another of the bank'i revolvers in a tree beside the building. It is stated that it was throwa out of the building during an argument before the actual shooting. Tha person who threw it told the police ol his action, and they found the weapai in the tree.
