Miss Lois Petrie, the Vicarage (Ashburton), will leave to-day for Invercargill, where she will be the guest of Mrs Ritchie Crawford. Mrs Percy Cox (Merivale) is. visiting her sister, Miss Fox, Wai-iti road, Timaru. Mrs Somers Cox is also visiting Timaru and is the guest of Mrs Colin Marshall. Dr. and Mrs P. A. Ardagh and family (Carlton Mill road) are spending a holiday at the Southern Lakes. Mr and Mrs G. H. R. Ulrich (Timaru) will go to-day to North Canterbury to visit Mr and Mrs D. C. Macfarlane, Mount Paul, Waiau. Dr. and Mrs J. F. Duncan and Miss Relda Duncan (Rossall street), who have been visiting Britain, returned to New Zealand by the Orford, and arrived in Christchurch yesterday morning. Mr and Mrs M. S. Brown (Webb street) will leave next week to spend a holiday at Hanmer Springs. Mr and Mrs Sissons will arrive in Christchurch from Australia early next week and will stay with Mr and Mrs Roy Sissons, Bryndwr, before leaving for Auckland, where Mr Sissons will attend the biennial congress for the advancement of science. Mrs Walter F. Robinson (Nelson), who has been spending two months in Christchurch, will leave for Nelson to-day, Miss Mary Hanna, graduate nurse, St. Luke’s Hospital, Chicago, United States, who has returned to New Zealand, is now visiting relatives in Greymouth. Miss Phyllis Brbdie (Madras street) has returned from a visit to the south. Miss Nora Lawlor has returned to Kurow after spending a few days in Cromwell. THE IDEAL DIET.
