New South Wales in the first innings made 252 (Mudge 46, Jackson 46; FleetwoodSmith five for 110, Ebeling two for 41, Gregory two for 41). Lush, having his first game in a shield match, bowled particularly veil. At Adelaide, South Australia in the first innings made 294 (Grimmelt 33; Amos five for 83). In the second innings South Australia has lost two wickets for 46. Queensland in the first innings made 205 (Tallon 101, Oxenham 43 not out; Grimmelt three for 89, Cotton two for 35, Williams five for 29). RAIN PREVENTS FLAT M.C.C. V. Heavy rain prevented play on the first day of the match between the Marylebone Cricket Club and Northern Districts. i j LARWOOD FAILS IN INDIAN MATCH BOMBAY, December 26.
